Further to Act No. 20/1966 Coll. on people's health care, as amended, in particular with regard to Section 8 letter a), as well as further to Regulation No. 135/2004 Coll., setting out the requirements for outdoor baths, saunas and hygienic sand limits in sandpits in outdoor play areas, Elizabeth Baths Inc. issues these
Visiting Rules
These Visiting Rules shall also be deemed to constitute conditions for the provision of services rendered by the service provider (pool operator).
- The pool operator organizes entry to the swimming pool pursuant to the published schedule, provided that the existing conditions comply with operational safety requirements.
- By buying an entry ticket or making an advance payment, the client consents to these Visiting Rules and undertakes to abide by such rules.
- The responsible member of the operator's staff may suspend or stop operations in the event of sudden breakdowns which may endanger the health of the public and the staff.
- Persons currently suffering from an illness are not permitted into the pool, in particular those with hair, skin or other contagious diseases. All those who suffer from extremely unsightly disorders and open lesions in the skin will be asked not to enter the pool. Anyone covered in insects or under the influence of intoxicating substances is also banned and will be asked to leave.
- Clothing worn by visitors should be clean. Please do not wear dirty clothes, clothes offensive to others or clothes which will contaminate the lockers.
- Please take off shoes in the special zone and enter areas beyond the special zone barefoot.
- After removal of all clothing, to be locked up in the locker, visitors are asked to wash the whole body with soap or some other cosmetic detergent and to shower (hair included, unless a swimming cap is to be worn in the pool). Do not enter the pool if you have not washed and showered.
- Each visitor takes personal responsibility for his/her state of health and the consequences of failure to observe the directions at point 4 above
- Before using the sauna or steam bath, every visitor has a duty to take note of the applicable rules of conduct. These are set out separately but for legal purposes, form an integral part of these Visiting Rules.
- Non-swimmers are responsible for ensuring that they are accompanied by a sufficient number of persons ready to assist them in case of need, having regard to the non-swimmers' size and kinetic ability. Non-swimmers are not allowed to enter the pool without accompaniment.
- Children age three above (3+) are permitted. Persons accompanying children are responsible for their safety. Please ensure that children use swimsuits specially intended for children (with a close-fitting elastic band around the legs). We now offer special swimming courses for babies from six months (6 months+).
- Eating, smoking and chewing gum in the pool area is strictly prohibited. Drinks are only permitted in break-resistant plastic bottles.
- Only toiletry articles for washing and towels in plastic bags are permitted on the poolside. Any other hand baggage and clothing should be stowed in the lockers.
- During public swim sessions, only swimsuits may be worn in the pool. Swimwear with long trouser legs, shorts, underwear and any similar clothing is not permitted. Swimwear should be made of color-fast fabric designed for bathing in water and resistant to damage by the composition of the water in the pool.
- During public swim sessions, use of special diving gear is prohibited, to prevent risk of personal injury and distress to other bathers.
- Please deposit all valuables in the special safe boxes provided. The pool operator is not liable for any loss of cash or valuables not deposited in the safe box or at the pool office.
- The pool is equipped with disabled access. Please observe the rules governing use of the pool for the disabled. Our staff will communicate these rules to you during your first visit to the pool, and will provide you with all necessary information and instructions on use.
- Visitors are asked not to try to operate any poolside equipment or facilities. We reserve the right to impose a 100 CZK penalty for failure to observe this request. Visitors will be charged 100 CZK by way of compensation for any loss of or damage to locker keys.
- Please notify a member of staff IMMEDIATELY if any accident occurs.
- Kindly abide by all instructions of our staff on use and operation of poolside equipment and facilities, and all instructions on safety and hygiene. Any visitor failing to comply with the instructions of staff may be asked to leave.
- The pool operator reserves the right to refuse the provision of services in any specific instance in the event of failure to observe these Visiting Rules.
- Breach of the Visiting Rules constitutes grounds for rescission of contract and the operator reserves the right to suspend or refuse further provision of services and to exclude a visitor from the pool area.
Visiting rules for the sauna at Elizabeth Baths
- You must be in good health to use the sauna. You cannot use the sauna if you are ill and your illness is a risk to others. This includes any illness of the upper airways, cough, conjunctivitis or other contagious diseases, as well as extremely unsightly disorders. You cannot use the sauna if you have any dressings (compresses). Anyone covered in insects will be asked to leave. Please do not use the sauna if you have an infectious stomach disorder or any other contagious illness.
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances is banned.
- Access to the sauna is available only during the sauna opening hours.
- Before entering the sauna, please take off you swimsuit, wash thoroughly with soap and take a shower. Footwear in the sauna is not permitted.
- In the sauna, please sit on the clean towel or bed sheet you have brought with you.
- A sauna session shouldn’t be longer than 15 minutes and should be followed by a shower or a dip in the cooling pool. Before entering the pool, please take a shower. The standard procedure is to repeat the cycle of a hot sauna followed by a cold shower or dip three times, although this may vary depending on your health and how you feel. If you have a circulatory disorder, please obtain advice on the best way to use the sauna with a physician.
- After your sauna, please have a rest in the rest room (also for the use of the steam room visitors).
- Please keep the sauna clean and tidy, observe basic hygienic practices and abide by the instructions of the sauna staff. Do not bring any other things with you into the sauna e.g. swimming cap, shoes, plastic products.
- Please do not pour water on the sauna stove or use aromatic ingredients in the sauna, as other visitors may be allergic to them.
- We ask all visitors to respect one another's privacy. Anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to lease.
- In the event of an accident or if someone is feeling unwell, please call a member of staff and apply first aid. Push the emergency button in the sauna or outside on the wall just before the entrance to the sauna. Misuse of the emergency button may be a criminal offence.
- Please do not change the settings on any equipment, including thermostats, in the sauna.
- Every visitor is responsible for his/her own health and the health of any dependents (minors).
- Special rules apply to children using the sauna. Before your initial visit with children, please contact the pediatrician to ask for advice.
- Kindly abide by all instructions of our staff on use of the equipment. Any visitor failing to comply with the instructions of staff may be asked to leave.
Visiting rules for the steam room at Elizabeth Baths
- You must be in good health to use the steam room. You cannot use the steam room if you are ill and your illness is a risk to others. This includes cough, conjunctivitis or other contagious diseases, as well as extremely unsightly disorders. You cannot use the steam room if you have any dressings (compresses). Anyone covered in insects will be asked to leave. Please do not use the steam room if you have an infectious bowel disorder or any other contagious illness, or if there is a risk that you are a germ carrier (even if you are not currently ill).
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances is banned.
- Access to the steam room is available only during the steam room opening hours.
- Before entering the steam room, please take off your swimsuit, wash thoroughly with soap and take a shower. Footwear in the steam room is not permitted.
- In the steam room, please sit on the clean towel or bed sheet you have brought with you.
- A steam room session shouldn’t be longer than 20 minutes. After using the steam room, cool down in the rest room. This process will vary depending on your health and how you feel. If you have a circulatory disorder, please obtain advice from a physician on the best way to use the steam room.
- After your steam room session, please have a rest in the relax/rest room (also for the use of the sauna visitors).
- Please keep the steam room clean and tidy, observe basic hygienic practices and abide by the instructions of the steam room staff. Do not bring any other things with you into the steam room e.g. swimming cap, shoes and plastic products.
- Please do not use aromatic ingredients in the steam room, as other visitors may be allergic to them.
- We ask all visitors to respect one another's privacy. Anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to lease.
